Payoff unwinds coiled, flexible, plastic and rubber extrusions
at an adjustable rate for the purpose of recoiling or cutting
to length. The unit can also serve as a winder when a traverse
is unnecessary.
Telesensor
Telesensor
loop controllers may be added to maintain a consistent loop between
the pay-off and a prime mover (such as a caterpillar puller).
The Telesensor unit monitors the loop depth ultrasonically and
transmits the signal to a controller which adjusts the speed
and tension of the pay-off accordingly.
The system
minimizes stretching and distortion to achieve accurate cut lengths
and uniform respooling tension, and depending on application,
need not touch the extrusion.
